After recently upgrading from a Nexus S to a Nexus 4, there was the obvious issue of adapting my old SIM card for the new device. Fortunately, there are a number of options available including everything from manually trimming the card to mechanical 'SIM cutters'... I opted for a mechanical cutter as they don't cost very much and I'm lazy.
The option I went with was the Micro Sim Card Cutter+4 Sim Adapter which is billed as an iPhone 4 SIM cutter. That's just SEO noise... it cuts a mini SIM down to a micro SIM, including for the Nexus 4 or any other similar conversion.
I was surprised by the high build quality for a $4 purchase and it has a very substantial feel. While I'll probably only use it a couple of times, the money saved makes it well worthwhile. One hopefully helpful suggestions: when you cut your SIM, press down all the way. On my first attempt, I only pressed down most of the way and as a result of how the press is angled, it only cut about 80% of the card which required a second cut attempt to complete. Other than that minor issue, the product worked as advertised and I'm happy with the result.
